About The Project:
The Splendora ISD Education Foundation project began as part of a Leadership Montgomery County class project, but it quickly became much more than a traditional website redesign. Our group was tasked with helping the Foundation strengthen its presence in the community, increase awareness of its mission, and create a stronger foundation for future growth.
The project included a complete rebrand, a new website, community outreach, and the development of a marketing plan the Foundation could continue using after our Leadership Montgomery County project was complete.
For the website, we had several important audiences to consider. It needed to introduce community members and local businesses to the Foundation and encourage financial support, while also serving as a practical resource for Splendora ISD teachers, students, and parents. Rather than simply creating an informational site, we approached the website as a tool the Foundation could actively use to support its mission.
Increasing opportunities for donations was an important part of that strategy. We created a clearer way for visitors to understand what the Foundation does, why its work matters, and how community support directly benefits Splendora ISD students and educators. The website also provides space to highlight programs, grants, events, and other initiatives that demonstrate the impact of the Foundation’s work.
Throughout the project, I worked closely with the Foundation’s director and board members to understand how the organization operates and what they would need from the website long after launch. Because their programs and events continually change, flexibility was essential.
We built the website so the Foundation could manage many routine updates internally. Their team is able to add and update information themselves, while the underlying structure keeps the site organized as new programs, events, resources, and opportunities are introduced. This gives them independence without limiting the website’s ability to grow.
Our Leadership Montgomery County group also looked beyond the website. We helped make valuable connections within the local community and developed a marketing plan designed to give the Foundation direction for continuing to build awareness, engagement, and financial support.
By the end of the project, the relationship we had developed extended beyond the original Leadership Montgomery County initiative. The Foundation hired Trulove Webworks to continue maintaining and supporting the website, and we have remained involved as the organization has grown.
Today, we regularly assist with adding new content, programs, and events while also providing the technical support behind the scenes. Trulove Webworks manages the Foundation’s website hosting, maintenance, security, and ongoing SEO maintenance to help ensure the site remains healthy, secure, and visible.
The Splendora ISD Education Foundation project is especially meaningful because it demonstrates what can happen when branding, website strategy, marketing, and community involvement all work together. We didn’t simply create a new look and hand over a website. We helped establish a digital platform, marketing direction, and community presence that the Foundation could continue building upon.
What began as a Leadership Montgomery County service project ultimately became a lasting partnership—and a website designed to continue supporting the Foundation as it creates new opportunities for Splendora ISD students, teachers, and families.
